The Case.png

Crafted from a solid block of 316L stainless steel and treated with our signature scratch-resistant coating, the Summiteer’s hermetic case features a screw-down crown to ensure maximum water resistance. With finely polished chamfers delineating the contrast between radial brushed lugs and horizontally brushed sides, the discerning wearer will appreciate how every detail has been meticulously considered.

The Coating.png

Surgical grade stainless steel is already tough, but the application of our proprietary scratch-resistant coating makes it significantly tougher. Applied to all exterior steel surfaces, the coating prevents your watch from attracting the typical scratches and swirls that occur all too often during the rigors of everyday life. 316L steel measures around 200HV on the Vickers hardness scale — after our hardening treatment, we’re able to achieve a hardness rating of almost 1500HV.

The Dial.png

Two concentric circles divide the Swiss Made BGW9 Super-LumiNova printed hour markers into subsections, giving the matte dial a sector-esque appearance reminiscent of Art Deco dial designs from the 1930s. The center of the dial is embossed, creating a three-dimensional effect that can only be truly appreciated when seen in person.

The Bezel.png

The stainless steel bezel is topped with radial brush strokes that contrast neatly with the highly polished chamfer, lending the bezel an even balance of opulence and restraint.

The Crystal.png

Cut from synthetic sapphire and measuring 9/10 on Mohs Hardness Scale, the Summiteer’s flat crystal is virtually impervious to scratches. The anti-reflective coating — applied only to the underside of the crystal — eliminates glare, making for easy reading even under direct sunlight.

The Hands.png

The diamond-cut minute and hour hands are gently sloped, forming a ridge in the center of each hand. Light dances off the complex and highly polished finish, adding zest to an otherwise understated dial.

The Crown.png

The coin-edged crown with engraved logo screws down snugly into the side of the case, upholding the watertight integrity of the 100 meter depth rating.

The Bracelet.png

Forged from 316L stainless steel and tapering from 20mm to 16mm, the bracelet’s substantial links echo designs from the Swiss bracelet purveyor Gay Frères. Made with a rigorous lifestyle in mind, the robust bracelet has undergone the same proprietary hardening process as the case. Precisely machined from stainless steel, the buckle exhibits polished chamfers on either side. The inside of the clasp is painstakingly hand polished with a perlage finish — because even the smallest of details matter. The buckle’s four micro-adjustments and the removable link’s large flat head screws allow the bracelet to be sized to your exact liking with ease.

The Movement.png

The workhorse that powers the Summiteer is proudly displayed behind a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Automatically wound by the motion of the wearer, the Miyota 9039 oscillates at 28,800 beats per hour and will keep ticking for decades without the need for yearly visits to a watchmaker for a new battery. A 24 jeweled, two step, hand-windable movement with hacking, the 9039 is a dateless variant of Miyota's venerable 9015 movement. Introduced by the Japanese firm as an alternative to the costly and often temperamental Swiss ETA-2824, one could argue that the 9039 caliber is actually technologically superior to its Swiss counterpart — thanks to its 42 hour power reserve and slimmer profile.
