A New Dial, 5,000 Years in the Making
5,000 years ago, Ancient Egyptians used electrum for the capstones of the pyramids. 2,000 years later, the Lydians harnessed it to craft humanity’s first metal coins. Today, this ancient alloy has inspired the Commuter Electrum, a precious-metal dial comprised of silver (68%), gold (20%), and copper (12%).

Featuring a floating dial, the indices are carefully placed on a transparent sapphire crystal disc with the logo, text, and minute markers printed on it, making the dial elements appear to hover above the precious metals below. The dial dances in the light thanks to an embossed frosted finish.
The Commuter Electrum is powered by the Miyota 9039 movement. Only 50 pieces exist in each size, priced at $1,125 for the 36mm variant and $1,195 for the 38mm.
Available exclusively in-person at the TRASKA booth at the WindUp Watch Fair in New York City, October 16-18. The first 50 pieces (25 in 36mm and 25 in 38mm) will be available as soon as the event's doors open to the public at 12:00 PM on Friday. The remaining 50 pcs will be available Saturday at the same time.
