HARDENED STEEL

All of our watches are made from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel. This typically measures 200HV on the Vickers hardness scale; however, after our signature hardening treatment is applied, we are able to achieve a hardness rating of almost 1200HV. With this additional protection against the typical scratches and swirls that otherwise occur all too often during the rigors of everyday life, you can wear our watches without worry, using them like the robust tools they’re intended to be.

SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL

Cut from synthetic sapphire and measuring 9/10 on the Mohs hardness scale, the Summiteer’s crystal is virtually impervious to scratches. Colloquially referred to as a “box style” crystal, its design is reminiscent of the plexiglass crystals that graced watches from a bygone era. A thick layer of clear anti-reflective coating on the underside eliminates glare for easy reading even in direct sunlight, while also enhancing clarity to such a degree that the crystal itself all but disappears.

THE DIAL

Two concentric circles divide the hand-applied Swiss Made BGW9 Grade A Super-LumiNova hour markers into subsections, giving the semi-matte dial a sector-esque appearance reminiscent of Art Deco dial designs from the 1930s. The center of the dial is embossed, creating a three-dimensional effect that can only be truly appreciated when seen in person.

THE HANDS

Light dances off the highly polished finish of the diamond-cut minute and hour hands, adding zest to an otherwise understated dial. Filled with Swiss Made BGW9 Grade A Super-LumiNova, the strong luminescence makes for easy reading even in dim light.

THE CASE

Understated yet robust, the Summiteer sports a scratch-resistant case hewn from surgical-grade 316L hardened stainless steel. Serving as a testament to our commitment to the smallest of details, you’ll enjoy observing the way light dances around the polished chamfers that highlight the transitions in finishes. The case’s design is further elevated by the ever so slightly convex nature of the mirror polished mid-case, with sides that bulge out just enough for the discerning wearer to appreciate how every detail has been meticulously considered.

THE BEZEL

The stainless steel bezel is topped with brushed sunburst finish that contrasts neatly with a thick, highly polished chamfer, lending the fixed bezel an even balance of opulence and restraint.

THE CROWN

The crown screws down snugly and smoothly into the side of the Summiteer’s 100M water resistant case thanks to a decoupling mechanism that prevents it from winding the movement while being screwed down. A high-polished chamfer separates the coin-edged portion from the embossed TRASKA logo on the outermost surface.

THE MOVEMENT

Automatically wound by the motion of the wearer, the Japanese Made Miyota 9039 caliber oscillates at 28,800 beats per hour and will keep on ticking for decades. A 24 jeweled, two step, hand-windable movement with hacking, the 9039 is a true no-date movement. Introduced by the Japanese firm as an alternative to the Swiss Made ETA-2824, one could argue that the high-beat 9039 caliber is actually technologically superior to its Swiss counterpart thanks to its 42 hour power reserve and slimmer profile.

All of our movements are regulated in four positions for enhanced timekeeping tolerances. This process involves manually adjusting the length of the mechanical movement’s hairspring, fine-tuning it to keep even better time than what their manufacturer advertises. After regulation in four positions, the 9 series will typically run between -10 to +20 seconds a day.

THE BRACELET

Forged from 316L stainless steel and tapering from 20mm to 16mm, the bracelet’s solid and fully articulating links echo designs from the Swiss bracelet purveyor Gay Frères. Made with a rigorous lifestyle in mind, the robust bracelet has undergone the same proprietary hardening process as the case. Precisely machined from stainless steel, the buckle exhibits polished chamfers on either side. The inside of the clasp is painstakingly hand polished with a perlage finish, because even the smallest of details matter. Quick-release spring bars make it easy to remove the bracelet for strap changes, while the buckle’s six micro-adjustments and the removable links' large flat head screws allow the bracelet to be sized to your exact liking with ease.

QUICK-ADJUST CLASP

Effortlessly adjust the size of your bracelet and get the perfect fit at all times thanks to our tool-less micro-adjustable buckle. With six different positions spaced 1.35mm apart, you can make your bracelet incrementally smaller or larger with the push of a button. No screwdrivers. No screws. No frustration. Oh, and it includes two additional half-links to ensure a comfortable fit for every wrist!

TRAVEL CASE

Our genuine leather travel case stays true to the utilitarian nature of the TRASKA brand. We value form; but not at the expense of function. Even when traveling light is a necessity, this leather pouch is small enough to go with you and ensure the safety of your timepiece. This isn’t packaging that will gather dust in the closet — it’s an elegant yet practical accessory you’ll want to travel with wherever you go.

Better than I imagined

"I was looking for a watch with the dimensions of the BB54 because I've been thinking about how it felt on the wrist every since I tried one on. But I don't really feel like shelling out thousands for a brand name. All the online reviews of Traska have been amazing, but once I got it in hand, I haven't taken it off since. Great dimensions, impressive scratch resistance, and just lovely on the wrist. I scratch my watches within hours of wearing them because I do a lot of cooking, handiwork, and music playing, so my hands are always moving and bumping into things. After a few weeks, there is NOTHING on this watch, and it is blowing my mind. I didn't think I would love this watch as much as I have. Thanks, Traska!"

Excellent dial and finishing

"My second Traska, after the Commuter. Love the few numeric indices to improve readability compared to the Commuter. Great manufacturing. Would buy again. Adding some photos to show how it looks in reality."

Great Watch

"I recently purchased my first Traska, the Summiteer 36 in Oxblood Red. I have been very pleased with my purchase. The watch is comfortable and very easy to read, but what really impressed me is the dial. The oxblood red dial is a chameleon changing color from maroon to black depending upon the light. The pictures really don’t do it justice."

Attractive Watch, Frustrating Experience

"The Summiteer has genuine appeal — the 36mm case, clean aesthetics, and on-the-fly bracelet adjustability are all well executed. In those respects Traska has done something right. Unfortunately the watch seems susceptible to magnetization with repeated incidents within the first 6 weeks of ownership in normal daily use — conditions that have not impacted my other automatic watch of similar tier. Despite demagnetization with an Elma, it never returned to its original performance baseline (from +7-9 sec/day to +13-15 sec/day). It remains within Miyota's stated tolerance, but I now find myself actively managing how and where I wear it, which defeats the purpose of a daily wear watch. Appreciating that issues can arise with any product, I contacted Traska directly before posting publicly, giving them the opportunity to respond. The customer service reply was dismissive, addressing spec compliance rather than the substance of my concerns, and only mentioned that magnetism happens and that purchasing a cheap degausser should resolve my problem. I then scheduled a call with the CEO through the company's own booking system — he didn't call, I left a voicemail, and heard nothing. Only after I followed up by email four days later did I receive a reply through customer service, attributing the miss to international travel, with no direct follow-up from him other than to reschedule a call if interested. I wanted to like this watch and this brand, and was actively considering additional purchases. Repeated magnetization issues, degraded performance, and a pattern of avoidant customer service leave me unable to recommend Traska at this time."

Summiteer 36 Oxblood Ridge

"Beautiful well made watch! Well designed dial and bracelet; Oxblood Red adds a little burgundy color without being too bright and in your face. Well done!"

Great watch with nice details

"The first thing that struck ne is the weight of the watch, then the dial details and overall finishing. The case has an attractive mix of polished and brushed surfaces. My watch shipped with a bracelet that the supplier seemed not to have finished properly (sharp edged). Gabrielle sent me a replacement bracelet that is properly finished and much more comfortable to wear. I’m very pleased with my first Traska."

A great watch

"I am very pleased with my Summiteer. The case, dial, bracelet, and clasp are beautifully finished. The dial layout is tidy, clean, and classic yet modern. The lume is adequate. I prefer the sword hand setup vs. Mercedes hands. The QC issues with hands on previous versions appear to be resolved. I did not look with magnification, but the hands look perfect to the naked eye. Logo design and placement are very tastefully done on the dial, crown, and clasp. Arrived running +15 spd, but was able to regulate it to a consistent -2 spd. Just two suggestions for future versions: * Torx screws for bracelet links. * ETA and quartz movement options."

"Beautiful through and through. I chose Traska. l based on form and function, and true to its name it's held up especially wrt to the steel hardening process. I can't wait for the GMTs when they're available and will also be looking to buy one if those beautiful time pieces. Gorgeous time piece!"

Great watch!

"Absolutely loved the watch, honestly it was everything I expected it to be, but what I loved the most was how comfortable and how slick the strap is, the extra link slide definitely comes in handy. Already Looking forward to owning another piece!"

Best micro brand field watch.

"The Traska Summiteer Pine Green 38 is exactly the kind of watch that rewards close attention. The 38mm case feels balanced and easy to wear, while the pine green dial adds just enough personality without becoming loud. I really appreciate how Traska keeps the design clean, versatile, and practical, making it work just as well with a casual strap as it does on the bracelet. The finishing feels thoughtful for the price, and the overall build gives off a durable, go-anywhere confidence. It is a sharp, understated everyday watch that feels refined, capable, and genuinely enjoyable."
